The Bay St. George College of the North Atlantic Campus

The geographic region served by the Bay St. George Campus of College of the North Atlantic includes the communities of Stephenville, Stephenville Crossing, the entire Port au Port Peninsula and Bay St. George South area as well as Burgeo, Ramea, Francois and Grey River. The campus has a number of programs that are unique to the area and not offered anywhere else in the college system drawing students from all over Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as other provinces and countries. The Bay St. George Campus has one of the three CNA student residences in the province and is one of only two campuses that delivers the Primary Care Paramedicine program. This location is also the site of the college’s headquarters. 

 


 

The Bay St. George campus can enroll up to 759 students and currently has 156 full-time employees. The campus is community-oriented and has significant partnerships with numerous provincial departments including Human Resources and Employment, Natural Resources, Child, Youth and Family Services, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, and of course Education. Some local partners include Marine Atlantic, the Flat Bay Indian Band and the Qalipu First Nation Community. CNA is also represented on various community organizations, providing valuable resources to these groups and organizations.

The Bay St. George Campus has recently constructed a Paramedicine Simulation Centre with state of the art Virtual 3D Visualization Anatomy Software. A multimillion dollar investment in shop modernization was also completed at the Martin Gallant building in Stephenville Crossing. The Heavy Equipment Field Site in Stephenville is a very successful component of the college’s trades courses and they recently provided training to international students from Jamaica, and for the Canadian Forces.

The campus also offers several creative programs though its Media Arts Centre (Video Game Design, Music Industry and Performance, Digital Animation, Film and Video Production, etc.), a Conservation Law Enforcement program, Commercial Transport training, Mobile Crane Operator, Small Equipment Service Technician, Truck and Transport Mechanic and many more… If you would like more information on College of the North Atlantic and the programs it offers visit www.cna.nl.ca.
